NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Today, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor Flora Tydings joined Nissan officials to formally open the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Murfreesboro's Smyrna Campus and Nissan Training Center. The state-of-the-art campus offers high-quality programs to prepare Tennessee students and Nissan employees for careers in advanced manufacturing and other fields.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nissan today was announced as the "Best Environmental Performance Brand" for 2017 by the Automotive Science Group (ASG), a lifecycle data-driven research group founded by environmental policy consultancy Eco-innovations, LLC. ASG's annual study also found Nissan "to embody exceptional environmental integrity along its production and distribution chains, as well as in the Nissan products themselves." In addition to the overall brand award, four Nissan models finished among the top vehicles in their categories in ASG's 2017 Automotive Performance Index (API).

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nissan North America is offering employee pricing on most Nissan cars and trucks to individuals and businesses whose vehicle(s) sustained damage during the Gatlinburg wildfires. Those who sustained damage to, or a total loss* of, their vehicle(s) in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, area may work with area Nissan dealerships to apply this offer, which must be redeemed for a claim ID before Jan. 3, 2017.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nissan Group is the most fuel efficient full-line automaker in the United States for the third year running, according to the recently released 2016 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) "CO2 and Fuel Economy Trends" Report. Nissan's fleet-wide fuel economy rating of 28.3 adjusted combined mpg was highest among all full-line automakers in the annual report, which is the authoritative reference on new light-duty vehicle carbon dioxide emissions, fuel economy and powertrain technology trends in the United States.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - For the second consecutive year, the Nissan Versa Note has been named by the editors at Kelley Blue Book to the annual KBB.com "10 Best Back-to-School Cars" list.
Once again the vehicles selected for a "Back-to-School" recommendation had to be available for under $20,000 and meet the editors' criteria of being safe and stylish. The 2016 Versa Note has a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price* (M.S.R.P.) of $14,230 USD. KBB.com, utilizing its Fair Purchase Price (FPP) data, ranked Versa Note the second lowest priced vehicle on the 2016 list.

Nissan brand jumps 10 spots, ranks above industry average; Altima and Murano among top three in respective segments

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The 2016 Nissan Frontier has been recognized as the top mid-size truck in the J.D. Power 2016 Initial Quality Study (IQS), the industry benchmark for new vehicle quality. Additionally, the Nissan brand jumped 10 spots in the study, bringing it to 10th position, sixth among non-premium brands and above the overall industry average.
